"...The purple light from the club filled the dark and dank back alleyway where Annie sat, miserable and alone. She was more than likely cold, as the red dress she wore provided little warmth from the night. This job had been like any other job and she had let it get personal. She'd changed herself. She'd forgotten who she was. She didn't want to be in love. She didn't like the idea of being in love. She wasn't thinking properly.

Annie could hear footsteps approaching her, down the tall stairs they came. One after the other. She didn't turn to look, she didn't care. She was too busy telling herself not to fall for a man like him. She was too busy telling herself this was insane..."

Another photomanipulation of Margarita using Long Stock's stock. The dress was so perfect, the little red dress. I wanted to try something different. This is from a scene from the story. No spoilers, but you can figure out what's wrong with her. I wanted to try lighting effects. The club has purple lights out side. She's in the back alley.

Anyway, Song lyrics by Corinne Bailey Rae titled "Trouble Sleeping" It came on while I was working on it and was the perfect mood for this piece.

Great job - especially the lighting effects. Maybe just a little more purple on the top of her head, though, reflecting off her hair? There's some on the back of her neck, and the fronts of the steps, so if it's coming from above, it would shine on her hair.
It's a really good story, and great lyrics.
